As a Dog Walker with Just Happy Dogs, you\\\'ll provide reliable, caring walks for our clients\\\' dogs in their neighborhoods across Westchester and surrounding counties. You\\\'ll be a trusted extension of our small, values-driven team - someone dogs look forward to seeing and owners feel completely comfortable with.


What We\\\'re Looking For

  • Genuine love for dogs - all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
  • Experience handling dogs, especially in outdoor/on-leash environments
  • Calm, patient demeanor - our clients include reactive and anxious dogs
  • Reliable transportation within our service areas
  • Smartphone with the ability to use walk-tracking and communication apps
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Physical fitness - you\\\'ll be on your feet, rain or shine


Bonus Points

  • Fear Free or positive reinforcement training knowledge
  • Pet first aid certification (or willingness to get one)
  • Experience with reactive dogs or dogs with behavioral needs
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) - a plus for our diverse client base

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct solo or small-group walks (we keep things intimate - max 4 dogs at a time)
  • Provide GPS-tracked walk updates and post-walk reports with photos for pet parents
  • Adhere to each dog\\\'s individual needs, preferences, and any behavioral notes
  • Handle dogs with patience and calm, especially anxious or reactive dogs
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with the owner/team before, during, and after walks
  • Maintain safety at all times - leash handling, traffic awareness, off-leash protocol
